Writing Update

Hartland, book 4, The False Gods, is finished. There is just one more quick edit and then it’s off to the beta readers. We’re so excited it’s finally finished! In fact, we’re so excited, we’ve already started on book 5. We’re about a 1000 words into it. More to come tonight!

Book 5, whatever the title may be, will probably be the last in the series, unless something unexpected happens. That is always a possibility with our writing. You just never know what kind of idea will snatch us away. It’s one of the many, many, many reasons we love to write.

Gotta get back to writing. Book 5 won’t write itself, but how cool would that be?

Small Writing Update

With our decided name change, there was a lot we needed to do. We needed to re-edit all 6 of our books and change the pen names on them, as well as all of our social media accounts. With the nearly 2000 mile move we made, we got behind. The new job has bizarre hours, which we’re still trying to get used to, and we’re adjusting to moving to a larger city. Casper, Wyoming, the town we called home for many years had only about 60,000 people. Savannah, Georgia, the place we now call home has 379,000. It’s been difficult getting used to more people, but it’s been a learning experience for us. As well as Hurricane Mathew was. We’ve learned a lot about ourselves down here, which was one of the reasons we decided to move. Having what people call life experiences is a good thing and helps shape you into a better version of yourself. This was an opportunity we had hoped we would get. Admittedly, we hadn’t thought we’d get the opportunity so soon!

Well, anyways, 4 of the 6 books have been edited! We are finally getting caught up. We are also still working on a few new books. One of them is partially in a genre we never thought about writing in. That genre is steampunk. The WIP is called The Hunt. It’s in the first stage of edits! We might provide a small snippet soon of the story for everyone to read.

Still Editing

Good Morning!

We had a goal yesterday of 15 pages, but we managed 24! Today is the same goal, but I am willing to guess we can hammer out additional pages as well. We have finally found our groove in the editing process for Hartland. For some reason, it is always a slow start for us, but once we get going, we remember it’s quite a bit of fun polishing our stories and making sure everything makes sense and the characters have stayed true to themselves!

Editing can be difficult, but when you have a great story, it suddenly becomes easy. We’ll be sharing the front and back cover for the first book in Hartland: The Servants of the Old Gods a little later today. Keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think!
